Young men help up older woman after fall.

So many of you tell us about the kindness of strangers and we’ve had another one from Debs: “I fell over on the cobbles outside Charterhouse a couple of days ago and am sporting a fine bruise on my left knee, but two very nice young men helped me up and insisted on walking me […]

Kindness in Exmouth during holiday.

“I was staying at a friend’s house in Exmouth in Devon for a few days while they were away (letting me use their place = first kindness). I walked down into the town with my dog for a look around but got lost trying to find the way back. I was starting to panic about

Coffee #1 customers are kind.

Kindness is happening every single day, here’s just one example: I was in the Coffee #1 (check them out) coffee shop in Woodley and I twice saw people hold the door open for customers who were in wheelchairs so that they could get out the door. What kindness have you seen today? Check out even

a blue bench around a tree on a sunny day, around the bench is very short grass which is going brown, beyond it is a river with canal boats on it.

Chatty stranger brings a smile.

While I was sitting on a shady bench by the river, an elderly man with a walker came along and asked if he could join me. He quickly introduced himself as Malcolm and we spent a lovely 10 minutes chatting. He told me about some of the places he and his late wife had visited

A group of seven people stood in a line all holding a large England flag with “Browning Dewis on tour” written across the red cross, sports logos in two corners and photos of the group at other football events in the other corners. All of the members of the group are raising one hand in a fist and looking very excited.

Stranger pays for book.

“Recently, at the bookshop where I work, a guy realized he didn’t have cash to pay for a book, and another guy—a stranger to him—paid for it.” This wonderful example of kindness was shared with us on Mastodon by an employee at Poet’s Corner Book Shop and we love it! Let’s hear about the kindness

In the (long) queue for the ladies loo at the Lionesses HQ fan zone word went round that there was no loo roll left. Next thing I know, a single loo roll is being passed back along the line, with each person taking some and passing it on. Everyone saying they didn’t want to take

Tube passenger shows kindness.

Reading station offers 2 for 1 on kindness.

We’ve got a 2 for 1 on kindness with this story from Barry over at Radio 210! He and his wife were at Reading train station on the way to Oxford to see a show. A lady asked them if they would keep an eye on her large bags while she went and bought a

Let in front at Lidl.

Here’s a really easy kindness to spot if you’re new to noticing it (or just struggling to): My daughter was at Lidl buying some choc chips to go in the cookies she and her friend were baking. The person in front of her noticed and let her go in front as he was doing the
