Self kindness with fibro.

a lap tray, covered in a green mat, strewn with pliers and jump rings. In the background, past the pink crocs, a TV displays the title screen for A Nightmare on Elm Street.

“One of the reasons I like chainmaille as a craft is that while my fibromyalgia often leaves me sofa-bound, chainmaille requires very little space: all I need is my pliers, jump rings, and a lap tray (complete with a custom play mat from deep cut studios.)

So while I’m not up to doing anything else, I can work on my latest piece while watching a movie… Usually horror, currently the remake of A Nightmare on Elm Street.”

This is such a wonderful example of self kindness, big thank you to Zoe of ZoLo Chainmaille for allowing us to share it.
