Pastries that build a team.

a table filled with all kinds of pastries. Many are on a large wooden board with scones and mini cakes, some on small wooden picnic tables which are sitting on the table alongside some containers of fruit. It all looks delicious.

Each month at work, Sara brings in something sweet from a different neighborhood bakery: croissants, donuts, pastries filled with jam or cream. She pays for it herself and makes sure to support small, family-run spots whenever she can.

“I just like seeing people smile in the morning,” she says.

But it’s more than just breakfast. These little gestures help people open up. Conversations start around the coffee machine. New team members feel welcomed. Stress softens, if only for a moment.

“She feeds more than our stomachs,” one coworker said. “She brings warmth to the entire office.”

Sara believes that kindness is essential everywhere, including in corporate spaces. Through food and consistency, she builds community in the most human way possible: by simply caring for others.
