“I once had to get the emergency contraceptive pill and was having trouble ringing my GP to get it sent to my local pharmacy. I was in my car in a car park, crying hysterically in panic – worried that I wouldn’t get it in time and of all the consequences that might follow.
A woman who had parked next to me had been into the Tesco nearby and came back, knocked on my window and gave me a Twirl bar and said “Nothing that a bit of chocolate can’t help.”
I realise she might have been in a rush, had jobs to do that day and so couldn’t do anything more but I will never forget that kind gesture in a moment of panic.”
