Karen’s car insurance company, Churchill, were offering a rebate due to lower driving mileage due to covid lockdowns. They gave the option to refund to policyholders or donate to one of 3 nominated charities.
It wasn’t a massive amount, somewhere around £20, and she says she’s fortunate enough to be in a position whereby she can afford to donate this without a thought- to some in the current circumstances it would be a significant amount.
She’s since received an email saying how much money each charity has received which inspired her to send in her story with the message that many small actions making a big difference to these deserving causes.
