A kind sign of The Times

The Times newspaper

We had a baby born in the family last month (my niece) and we didn’t know in time on the day to buy the paper on the day she was born for her to have when she grows up.

My husband asked in the corner shop whether they still had any papers from the date. The shop didn’t have any but the guy who runs the shop knows which papers his regulars buy and offered to ask them when they next came to see if they still had the paper from the date in question.

He’s so kind to offer and to remember to ask because it’s a busy shop. And thanks to him, and one of his regulars, we now have a copy of The Times for our niece.

Do you have a copy of a paper from the day you were born?
