Advance notice of train timetable change.

The station manager knows that our family are regular train users. When I was buying a ticket recently, he made a point of telling me that the new timetable is coming into force in a couple of weeks and some of the trains have been removed from the timetable, so we need to double check before we travel.

There will be general comms about the timetable change, so he didn’t need to go out of his way to tell me but I thought it was really kind to use what he knows and realise it will have a bigger impact on us.
