An update from Sarah, Founder of Time for Kindness

At the heart of all the work that we do at Time for Kindness is the belief that kindness is all around us. We just don’t talk about it enough – yet! But when we do notice it and talk about it, its power has a hugely positive effect on us individually and collectively.

Central to our mission is to inspire and teach people to notice kindness by sharing stories and examples of real-world kindness. We have done this since I first set up Time for Kindness 5 years ago.

From April we’re making some changes to the way that we share those stories. Instead of posting one story each day on social media and our website, you’ll notice that we’re trialling posting in groups on fewer days to see how that helps us reach more people.

Don’t worry, we’ll still be sharing inspiring and positive stories to remind people that kindness is all around us 😊 And we still need you to notice and talk about the kindness that you see.

There’s also a handover of responsibilities for our social media. Sadly, Alexis Bushnell is having to step down for health reasons. Alexis has been an amazing support, right from the start, and we’re sorry to see her go. She will always be a part of Team TfK.

Taking over the reins will be Becky Greaves, another wonderful social media manager. Becky has been one of our Kindness Ambassadors for a while, so we know we’re continuing in safe hands.

We love hearing about the positive effect our kindness stories have on our community. So please keep getting in touch to let us know how noticing kindness impacts you.
