Bridget Jones fan experiences kindness at the cinema.

“Recently my wife Mags was due to take our daughter to watch Bridget Jones at the cinema in Stockport. Unfortunately my wife became ill in the morning which meant a long day in A and E but thankfully the outcome was not as bad as first feared. We were very relieved.

Alas the cinema outing was missed. Next day Mags asked me to go to watch the movie as our daughter was otherwise busy. I agreed despite romcoms not being my thing. I have been known to nod off minutes in!

Whilst my wife was about to pay for the film she mentioned to the popcorn seller about the hospital visit the day before. The young fella didn’t bat an eyelid, asked to see yesterdays ticket and said in you go you’ve already paid. No issue no ‘computer says no’ but more importantly he asked how my wife was and is she better now.

So I’d like to thank all the staff at The Light in Stockport (as they’re all so brilliant and helpful) but specifically the guy who dealt with us (whose name I forgot to ask). Just AMAZING. Other cinemas are available (as paddy would say) . Ps I stayed awake and film was really good.”

We love this Jon, thank you so much for allowing us to share it.
