My Dad has a cognitive impairment which means there are a lot of things he can’t remember. Some friends took him and Mum out for lunch at a countryside pub where they had a lovely time.
On the way back, their friend took a longer route home, through a route and villages that my Dad used to drive through to get to work about 20 years ago, up until he retired. Although Dad struggles with his memory, he loved reminiscing about that area and his work etc.
It was really kind of their friend to drive that way to give Dad something different to think about.
Today is my Dad’s birthday so Happy Birthday 🎂
